sun, heat, half-nude bodies, and pollen drenched flowers.

The summer of 2011 is just beginning. The sun is staying out longer and beaming hotter, harder. The scorching wind tangles my hair and brushes over my skin like fingers of silk. Flowers bloom colors only found in nature and those expensive paints artists use to create masterpieces. And the children fill entire streets with bright blue and pink and yellow sidewalk chalk and infectious laughter, rolling bicycles of plastic and chrome, and hoses spurting water that make rainbow holograms in the air. Wearing as little clothes as possible helps the sweat not drench my entire body, and my skin gets darker every day. The beauty that is usually so hidden during the cold months envelopes this city and makes it sparkle like an alternate dimension of larger-than-life plants, dancing suns, music that radiates from trees and the swollen sea filling the streets . . .

recently thrifted items. i love i love i love!

this dress is big and slouchy and loose, but short short short! i wear it with tights. such love. and i don't know what these things are called (right) but it's glittery and sparkly. pretty pretty.

pink blazer and blue blazer. oooohhhh!

i think it's...tweed? hmm, i don't know, but i love it anyway! and the one on the right is shiny and soft. and yes, that's a lil built in 'kerchief in the upper left pocket! so f-ing rad!

another dark grey-ish blazer. and the long-sleeve leopard button-up. gosh i f-ing love this one!

comfy as hell gray grandpa button-up. and a see-thru mesh hoodie. LOVE, again!

africa 'make poverty history' tee and 'fight hiv and aids' gap ado(red) tee. the only logo tee's i will ever wear. almost. i like designer logo tees too! ;)

long-sleeve goldish-cream velvet button-up. COMFY. and my love, the flannel.

sheer long-sleeve button-up, which is completely see-thru, and therefore pretty much my favorite! and the silk polka-dotted long-sleeve, which only has two buttons. heh.

LOVE = this genuine leather high-waisted skirt. beauty. raw'd out! and this tight black mini.

*everything is thrifted. i feel like i'm very lucky. i can go to goodwill, sara's treasures, etc, and have WAAYY better luck than i would have anywhere else around here. btw, i live in eugene oregon. so yeah. i find rvca, banana republic, louis vuitton (or imitation louis vuitton, either way, i care not) , and everything else that i like at thrift stores. apparently my style does not fit in with the styles that reside in the big, non-thrift stores. but heh, that's the way i like it!! =D
